Parenting during festivals in India – Pops In A Pod

On this episode the Peter and I share our stories and experiences of parenting during the season of festivals and what it was like to deal with a kid such crowded events. Be it weddings or other ceremonious events, “having fun” has changed forever for us.

DaDA dAda DADa… Word to your mother… and father

Our daughter started babbling when she was closing in on six months and her first coherent word was DADA and all of us were swift to derive its meaning. And the Indian parents that we are, we went “What a smart kid! By the age of ONE she will be reciting the String Theory at the back of her hand”… Little did we realise that the back of her hand was always in her mouth.

Let’s Talk About Breastfeeding

I don’t want to write about what comprises breastfeeding; that’s not my area of expertise. But I want to spread the word and say, “hey, there’s help available.” Reach out BEFORE the baby comes along. Child birth is a much shorter event than breastfeeding. If there is so much awareness on giving birth, imagine the talks we should have about feeding the baby.
